Klarquist Welcomes New Partner Ryan Frei in 2024
Klarquist is pleased to welcome Ryan Frei to the firm’s partnership effective January 2024. Ryan joined the firm in 2018 as a lateral associate in 2018 and is an active member of the firm’s litigation group. He earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and both his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and B.S. in Physics from Brigham Young University.
Ryan is an experienced intellectual property litigator, having represented clients before the federal district courts, the International Trade Commission, and the Federal Circuit, and has participated in matters before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. He has litigated cases involving technologies in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, medical device, semiconductor, and mobile device industries.
In his spare-time, Ryan loves to enjoy the outdoors of the Pacific Northwest with his family. Whether it’s hiking on Mt. Hood or in the Olympics, biking around the backroads of Washington County, filling in the back of the pack of a trail race, or playing in the cold water of the Oregon Coast.
