Ethan’s practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the fields of electrical and mechanical engineering, physics, and optics.
Ethan was previously in-house counsel at a high performance laser company where he developed and managed an intellectual property portfolio directed to the company’s optical technologies. He has written and prosecuted many optics-related patents, including applications covering optical fibers, laser diodes, fiber lasers, nonlinear frequency conversion, line beam systems, and laser processing methods.
Ethan’s interest in patent prosecution stems from the enjoyment he finds in learning about cutting-edge technologies and new applications.
Ethan came to Klarquist as an associate in 2015. He joined the partnership in 2020.
