Klarquist is pleased to announce that Chambers USA has again ranked the firm in the top tier for intellectual property law firms based in Oregon. Attorneys John D. Vandenberg and William D. Noonan, M.D. also received individual recognition as premier intellectual property attorneys in the state, occupying two of just three top-ranked spots.

Chambers identified Klarquist as a frontrunner in the intellectual property legal market based on the firm’s deft handling of complex prosecution and litigation cases related to trademarks, patents, and trade secrets, both nationwide and in the Asian market. The rankings recognize the firm’s expertise in a wide range of industry sectors, including biochemistry, nanotechnology, and software.

“Klarquist Sparkman has always been thought of as the preeminent patent firm in town,” market observers noted. “The lawyers are really great and at the forefront of patent litigation.”

William D. Noonan, M.D. continues to enjoy an excellent reputation in the field, particularly in the life sciences sector. As both a physician and a patent attorney, Dr. Noonan offers his clients a broad perspective on the practical applications of medical and biological inventions, as well as specialized expertise in a variety of related fields.

Attorney John D. Vandenberg has long been known as “one of the best patent attorneys in Portland,” according to Chambers’ research. Mr. Vandenberg has been litigating patents around the country for technology clients including Microsoft, SAP, ETAP, Nautilus, and Mentor Graphics.
