Klarquist Attorneys to Speak on Intellectual Property Topics Nationwide

Klarquist Sparkman, LLP attorneys have been chosen to speak in venues in Portland, Minneapolis, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and Seattle. They will speak on intellectual property issues such as interactions with inventors, foreign distribution of software, reexaminations, and litigation strategies.

  • Michael P. Girard and Gregory L. Maurer will speak in Washington, D.C., Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Portland, Oregon on “Inventor as Foe: Principles, Practice, and Pitfalls.” The seminars will take place on June 7, 2007, June 14, 2007, and June 21, 2007, respectively, and are sponsored by the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA)’s Advanced Patent Prosecution Seminar.
  • John D. Vandenberg will speak in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at a Complex IP Licensing Conference on “AT&T v. Microsoft: When can a U.S. patent be used to recover damages for infringement occurring abroad?” The seminar will take place on June 21, 2007, at The Rittenhouse Hotel in Philadelphia and is sponsored by Law Seminars International.
  • J. Christopher Carraway will moderate a panel discussion in Portland, Oregon on Reexaminations in Litigation. The seminar will take place on June 22, 2007, and is sponsored by the AIPLA’s Advanced Patent Litigation Seminar.
  • John D. Vandenberg will speak in Seattle, Washington at the Patent Claim Construction seminar on “Litigation Strategies from Defendant Perspectives.” The seminar will take place on July 10, 2007, at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center in Seattle and is sponsored by Law Seminars International. Mr. Vandenberg is also a co-chair of the seminar.
