Klarquist Announces New Partner, Derrick Toddy

Klarquist Sparkman, LLP is pleased to announce that Derrick W. Toddy has been named its newest partner, effective January 2019.

Since joining Klarquist in 2006, Derrick has focused his practice on all aspects of intellectual property law, including patent prosecution, litigation, and “alternatives to litigation” such as PTO Inter Partes Reviews, reexaminations, and other post-grant proceedings, as well as related settlement and licensing work. Derrick’s practice emphasizes computer and mechanical related fields, with particular emphases in e-commerce, gaming, data visualization, medical implants, and sports equipment. He holds a Juris Doctor from Columbia University (James Kent Scholar and Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar), a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point (Philosophy and Literature, Information Systems Engineering Sequence, Dean’s List), and, more recently, completed post-baccalaureate coursework in Computer Science at Oregon State University.
