Klarquist Achieves Mansfield Rule Certification for 2021–2023
We are thrilled to announce that Klarquist achieved Mansfield Rule Certification for 2021–2023, attaining the more exacting “Plus” certification! This certification recognizes Klarquist’s strong commitment to increasing and sustaining diversity, equity, and inclusion within our firm and the legal industry, as reflected in hiring, promotion, and leadership decisions over the past eighteen months.
Named for Arabella Mansfield, the first woman admitted to the legal profession in the United States, the Mansfield Rule aims to boost the representation of historically underrepresented lawyers in law firm leadership through data tracking and greater transparency. Among other things, certification requires that firms consider at least 30% diverse candidates–including women lawyers, underrepresented racial and ethnic lawyers, LGBTQ+ lawyers, and lawyers with disabilities–for leadership and governance roles, partner promotions, formal client pitch opportunities, and attorney hiring.
