A patent litigator with deep experience in USPTO post-grant proceedings, Andy regularly argues before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), has successfully argued four times before the Federal Circuit, and has argued at Markman and summary judgment hearings in federal district court. Andy also develops and coordinates global patent litigation strategies with foreign counsel and has participated in patent trials in Germany and the U.K., including preparing witnesses and evidence for trial.
Andy’s patent law experience spans technologies ranging from minimally invasive transcatheter medical devices and continuous glucose monitors to complex database technologies, cloud computing, and AI infrastructure. Prior to law school, Andy designed application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) at LSI Logic.
Andy joined Klarquist in 2011 and became a partner in 2017.
