With expertise in cell and molecular biology, biotechnology, and plant science, Caitlin has a versatile practice that spans our firm’s Plant, Biotechnology, and Chemistry practice groups. She is experienced in prosecuting a wide variety of subject matter, including immunotherapies, vaccines and immunogenic compositions, recombinant proteins, biologics, CRISPR and gene editing technologies, genetic markers, genetically engineered plants and microorganisms, and plant biotechnology. Caitlin also offers expertise in the niche practice of preparing and prosecuting plant patents, as well as domestic and international plant variety protection (PVP) and plant breeders’ rights (PBR) applications.
Caitlin has a thorough understanding of the complex world of intellectual property that her clients must navigate. Her IP practice is informed by both legal expertise and hands-on experience. Prior to joining Klarquist, Caitlin had over 10 years of experience at the bench, performing academic research in the field of cell and molecular biology. Her scientific curiosity and interest in plant science extends outside work. She enjoys spending time with her family outdoors and is an avid collector of rare and exotic plants.
Caitlin held a summer associateship with Klarquist in 2019 and joined the firm full time in 2020.
