Granted Summary Judgment of Patent Invalidity
On August 13th, Magistrate Judge Jeff Armistead recommended granting Home Certified’s motion for summary judgment in a patent infringement case brought by Savannah Intellectual Property LLC. The court found that the three asserted patents (U.S. Patent Nos. 8,567,688, 9,213,023, and 10,234,200) are invalid for being directed to natural phenomena and abstract ideas and lacked an inventive concept under the Alice framework.
