Sam works in Klarquist’s litigation team and specializes in USPTO post-grant review proceedings, such as Inter Partes Reviews (IPRs) and Ex Parte Reexaminations. He also has extensive experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications.
Sam has represented clients in a wide range of technologies, from combustion engines, aircraft, medical devices, consumer appliances, outdoor gear, and winches to circuit design and EDA, networking, blockchain, and machine learning. Because of his passion for simplifying complex technical disclosure and legal jargon into plain English, Sam prides himself on clear, no-nonsense communication.
Outside of work, Sam enjoys fly fishing, backpacking, and other outdoor activities, plays blues and boogie-woogie piano, and travels as frequently as he can.
Sam joined Klarquist as a lateral associate in 2020.
