Patrick’s practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of both U.S. and foreign patent and trademark applications. His practice also involves counseling clients on patent infringement and validity issues.
Patrick’s practice emphasizes electrical-, computer-, and physics-related fields. He represents clients in all areas of technology, including mobile devices, biometric authentication methods, media sharing applications, and cloud-based processing solutions. Patrick also has significant experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications for hardware (circuit designs), software for designing hardware (electronic design automation software), and network security software. He also assists clients with patents related to media processing, especially in the areas of encoding and decoding video or image content.
Patrick joined Klarquist in 2001 as an associate and became partner in 2007.
