Overview

Marla plays a crucial role in supporting attorneys during the various stages of litigation. Her responsibilities include conducting legal research, managing eDiscovery, organizing and analyzing case information, and assisting in the preparation and filing of legal documents such as pleadings and motions.

Marla joined the firm in 2001 as a Project Assistant for the firm’s prosecution department and transitioned her role to a Foreign Filing Paralegal, responsible for all filings and correspondence for the PCT prosecution of assigned clients. After a decade working with the prosecution team, Marla transitioned to the litigation department as a Legal Assistant and most recently moved into her current position as a Litigation Paralegal. Marla continues her role as Legal Assistant to John D. Vandenberg and is responsible for maintaining and updating the online version of Patent Defenses.
