As a Patent Prosecution Assistant, Laura assists the mechanical group by preparing and filing documents with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, communicating with clients and foreign attorneys, conducting research, maintaining physical and digital files, and managing attorney dockets.
Before working at Klarquist as a Litigation Paralegal from 2003 to 2009, Laura earned her J.D. at Lewis & Clark Law School with a special interest in intellectual property law and worked with numerous Portland area law firms as a Project Assistant. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, creating, tinkering, and making jewelry.
Laura returned to Klarquist in 2022 to focus on patents as a Patent Prosecution Legal Assistant.
