Alex is an experienced patent attorney with a successful record of obtaining patent rights for his clients in the U.S. and numerous international jurisdictions. Alex specializes in the biotechnology and mechanical fields, and has comprehensive experience developing foreign and domestic patent filing strategies, drafting patent applications and opinions, and performing ex parte reexaminations.
Alex is passionate about understanding his clients’ diverse bioscience technologies in order to protect them for years to come. Before returning to graduate school, Alex studied the molecular mechanics of membrane transport proteins, and completed his doctoral dissertation on the molecular mechanism of hyperalgesia. As a post-doctoral fellow, he studied the directed differentiation of human embryonic stem cells into functional cardiomyocytes.
