Gillian prepares and prosecutes U.S. patent applications and assists with the preparation and prosecution of international and foreign patent applications.
Gillian has primary expertise in the area of chemistry, including pharmaceuticals, batteries, analyte detection, cellular imaging, nanoparticles, nanostructured films and coatings, and silicon/silane production. Prior to becoming a patent agent, Gillian taught general chemistry, chemistry for engineering majors, and basic chemistry, in addition to laboratory courses in general chemistry, quantitative analysis, environmental chemistry, and nutrition chemistry. She also worked as a research assistant in the areas of biochemistry and molecular biology at two of Oregon’s leading research universities.
Gillian became a patent agent at Klarquist in 2008.
